In an astonishing move by government of India, National Film Awards for best actor will be presented to John Abraham for his leading role in Force 2. This announcement comes in the middle of the demonetization storm.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi announced the National Film Awards winners last night on live TV. Modi’s bold announcement of John Abraham for the Best Actor category drew the most attention and of course, fierce criticism.
“This is utterly shocking! I have seen some of the John Abraham’s movies including Force 2. All I can say, I would rather wait a few hours outside the Bank for the doors to open even if I don’t have an account there, than wasting 2 straight hours in the theater,” Sunder Singh spoke bluntly. Mr. Singh is a movie buff and lives near Shahdara metro station.
According to Mr. Singh, giving John the best actor award is simply a gimmick to divert attention from serious social, political failures of government, including demonetization.
Opposing the shocking announcement from PM, Congress Party today alleged that Modi government is trying to divert people’s attention from a number of problems. Party spokesperson said today that the party will not allow the constitutionally guaranteed rights of other talented actors to be snatched away.
Stepping up attack on PM Modi, Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal said Modi is desperately trying to deflect attention from his failures on the notes ban. “I not only watch films regularly but tweet out my reviews and ratings as well, I watch at least 3-4 movies a week. I gave Force 2 only 2.5 stars and I can assure you that this announcement is only politically motivated. What’s next? katrina Kaif for Best Actress?” Kejriwal was furious as always.
Kejriwal with Mamta Banarjee in a joint statement called for Bharat Bandh. Stay tuned for exact date!
May be it’s time for John Abraham to jump on the bandwagon of Award Wapsi Gang.
