Dhoni to retire from playing on weekends; available only 9am – 5pm on weekdays

While the entire universe was still recovering from the shock of Dhoni’s retirement, he is slated to make another major announcement, this time concerning his limited availability as a player.

“Instead of retiring all at once, you should consider retiring in phases — this has been Dhoni’s mantra from the beginning,” revealed Varun Singh, who claims to know Dhoni from his Ranchi days, “I have no idea how did they miss my character in the movie MS Dhoni: The Untold Story,” wondered Mr. Varun while going entirely off-topic.

“Dhoni loves retiring! He absolutely loved his retirement from Test Matches, retirement from being aggressive, and now — retirement from the entire captaincy. Evidently, he wanted more! As they say, continuous retirement is addictive,” Mr. Varun continued, “Between matches, Dhoni had about two and half months to decide on different forms of retirement. Taking this game of retirements to another level, he has decided to retire from playing on weekends.”

According to Mr. Varun, Dhoni would only be available from Monday to Friday between 9 am to 5 pm — first player to do so in the world of sports. Absolutely no games for him during major holidays or nationwide Bharat Bandh. Dhoni is keeping the weekends free for his Soccer practice, sources confirmed.

Needless to say, BCCI is now fanatically rescheduling games, but it’s already an uphill battle.
