Vaani Kapoor wins Longest Face Award, beating Neha Dhupia and Ranbir Kapoor in a nail-biting finish

Despite rumors of plastic surgery, Vaani Kapoor went on to beat Neha Dhupia and Ranbir Kapoor in a controversial decision from the judges for the prestigious Longest Face Award. The award ceremony was held yesterday evening at a local Sunny Da Dhaba on Mumbai-Pune Highway, packed with thousands of fans and photographers.

It is to be noted that the Longest Face Award ceremony has, almost without exception, taken place at the Sunny Da Dhaba since 1992, when Akshay Kumar won this presetigios award right after suspense thriller Khiladi was released.

“The whole buzz about Vaani Kapoor’s lip-job, chin surgery and Botox is only speculation and is not entirely supported by the panelists,” explained Sunder Sharma who was part of the judging panel, “I must tell you, It was a nail-biting finish, but finally won by Vaani Kapoor at her first attempt. The extremely talented Neha Dhupia had a lot to offer but she fell short in the eyes of the judges,” revealed Mr. Sharma.

“So excited! During the time of ‘Shuddh Desi Romance’, I knew it was nearly impossible for me to win and I knew I was not long enough. But if you can dream it, you can achieve it,” Vaani clearly didn’t explain how exactly she did it.

“It was a missed opportunity, but there will always be a next time,” dejected looking Ranbir said with a long face.

We promise it’s not as cheesy as it sounds!
